As a collective, their primary objective is to increase the number of participants for the ICC and get more people involved in order to change behaviors towards trash. A Memorandum of Agreement between the parties are scheduled in the coming weeks and will forge a stronger alliance for trash-free seas.
The widespread global movement of the ICC was introduced by Comm. Reyes twenty-one years ago in the Philippines. Since then, his efforts in tandem with PCGA and key organizations have been instrumental in legislation amendments, notably as the leading proponent banning plastics in the country.
A ripple effect is taking place and the coast is yet to be cleared on September 19, 2015.
